Fair enough. I’ve always found that one of the quickest ways to really understand someone is to see what interests them—and what gets them excited.
So, let’s dive in.
Music
I know it’s cliché to say, “I listen to a little bit of everything,” but in my case, it’s pretty accurate. My playlists jump from Patsy Cline to ’80s pop, then straight into death metal or country.
If I had to choose, though, metal is where my heart lies.

I’m a firm believer in the old adage: “If you’re going to be a writer, you have to be a reader.”
In my youth, that wasn’t a problem—I was always drawn to books. These days, writing cuts into my reading time, but I still manage to sneak in a few chapters most nights.

Like books, I don’t get to play as much anymore. I’d love to blame writing—or maybe age—but truthfully, I just don’t think they make ‘em like they used to.
When I do fire something up, I always end up returning to my old favorites.
