Book #5 from the series: Shotgun Grandma

Shotgun Grandma: Volume 5

About

Safety is only an illusion when the dead are still evolving.

Margaret and the others have found momentary safety in Camp 193, but the undead aren’t the only danger lurking beyond its walls. Since her arrival, Margaret has caught the attention of an eccentric doctor with questions about the infected—and a dangerous request that could uncover the secret behind the outbreak. What they discover may determine the survival of not only her family, but the human race itself.

Inside the camp, Emma faces dangers of her own. Suspicious of the doctor and determined to uncover what he’s hiding, she begins digging for answers. But with most of the soldiers away on a critical mission, Emma soon attracts the attention of someone far more dangerous.

Meanwhile, Tyler has a problem he’d rather not face: he’s falling for Emma. So he does what he knows best… he runs. Joining a mission outside the camp seems like the perfect distraction—until he learns where they’re going. What begins as an escape from his feelings quickly becomes a fight for survival, with thousands of lives hanging in the balance.

Outside the walls, the dead are changing. Inside, danger is closing in. And the safety Margaret fought so hard to find may not be safe at all.
